Authentic, roots-based voices have penetrated the mainstream in recent years; from the soulful yearns of early Leon Bridges, the groove of Gary Clark Jr., the booming voice of Jacob Banks, the raw and haunting delivery of Ray LaMontagne or the earthy tones of Rag 'n Bone Man - those voices cut through, and they stand out, they make you take notice, because they don't sound like everyone else. Connor Selby's voice echoes these trailblazers, enveloping his music with an emotional integrity.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The fast-rising star featured on Dire Straits legend Mark Knopfler's 2024 charity single, "Going Home (Theme From Local Hero)," along with Bruce Springsteen, Slash, Eric Clapton, David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, Sam Fender, Tom Morello, Brian May and more.&nbsp;He has played with The Who at Wembley Stadium and appeared at the Hyde Park Festival in London, alongside Pearl Jam and Stereophonics. He has toured with powerhouse singer Beth Hart, including a performance at the iconic London Palladium, as well as shows with Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Cray, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Betty LaVette, Soul Icon P.P. Arnold, and produced a standout performance at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival.&nbsp;He burst into the attention of the wider world when he released his 2023 'MOJO Magazine Blues Album of the Year'&nbsp;Provogue Records self-titled debut, which has already clocked up over&nbsp;2 million streams and support from BBC Radio 2's Cerys Matthews, as well as magazines such as Classic Rock, Guitarist, the blues world and beyond.&nbsp;He had already started to build a reputation, which saw him voted "Young Artist of the Year" at the UK Blues Awards for three consecutive years (2020, 2021, and 2022) and win the 2025 "Traditional Blues Artist of the Year" award.&nbsp;Watch him on stage, evoking a calm, assured confidence at odds with many other guitarists' wild shredding. Greene is the musical project of Joe Anderton. Born in Chelmsford, Greene takes the maiden name of his mother. After spending some years as a member of Connor Selby’s band, and lending writing credits to such acts as The Cinelli Brothers, Anderton now uses Greene as a vessel for his own output. A sound that is steeped in pop melodies and often introspective and whimsical lyrics, Anderton has drawn comparisons to acts such as Loudon Wainwright III, and is praised for his unique take on universal topics. Greene’s debut EP, The Content Creator, was released late 2024. 2025’s release, Now I’ve Got You Listening, was a departure from the initial sound. A short album that includes some of his most vulnerable work. Greene’s single, Three Finger Carrie, shows a subtle nod to the garage rock that has served as an influence. Greene’s live performances are personal and profound, as well as humorous and authentic.
