Once Upon A Leeds, 1981. The March Violets strum their first riff and scrawl their first set list. Their impressive post-punk legacy stretches from 1980s BBC John Peel sessions, indie chart successes Radiant Boys EP, Grooving in Green, Snake Dance and Turn to the Sky (featured in the John Hughes movie, Some Kind of Wonderful), all the way to the 21st century reunion, headlining festivals across Europe &amp; the USA and storming Record Store Day 2021 and 2022 with sell-out double albums Big Soul Kiss and Made Glorious.&nbsp;Founder-members Rosie Garland (performer, poet and author) and Tom Ashton (guitarist, producer) are joined by Mat Thorpe (bassist and vocalist). The band has enjoyed rapturous receptions on UK / EU / USA tours, incl headline shows at legendary Wave Gotik Treffen (Germany), Levitation (Austin TX), A Murder of Crows (NYC), Southern Gothic (Athens GA), DarkMad (Madrid), Dark Malta, Deadinburgh &amp; Tomorrow’s Ghosts Festival (Whitby Goth Weekend, UK).

Overlooking the hustle and bustle of LA’s Sunset Strip, Laurel Canyon became the beating heart of a musical revolution during the 1960s and 70s - a secluded hillside community where songwriting giants gathered, collaborated and shaped the sound of a generation. This iconic enclave was home to some of the most influential artists in music history, including James Taylor, The Byrds, America, Eagles, The Doors, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, Linda Ronstadt, CSNY and Joni Mitchell. Now brought to life by a powerful live six-piece band with vocals, the first half of the concert celebrates the spirit of Laurel Canyon through the unforgettable songs from these legendary artists and many others who defined the era.In the second half, the show dives deeper into the music that made history, performing Carole King’s 1971 masterpiece &#39;Tapestry&#39; in its entirety. Of all the albums released at this time in the Laurel Canyon community, Tapestry, arguably, sums up this counterculture best. Over two genre defying albums on Rocket Recordings Bonnacons of Doom have been honing their ‘Transpennine Hypnotic Music’ into a distinct sonic signature. Spafford Campbell are twenty-something mould-breakers, fiddle player Owen Spafford and guitarist Louis Campbell.&nbsp; The two first met as teenagers playing traditional music. The connection, they say, was immediate. The duo Spafford Campbell began playing live in 2018, prompting double takes with their delicacy, dynamism and seemingly telepathic exchanges, with the startling intimacy of musical conversations nurtured in improv-led writing sessions. Their latest album Tomorrow Held is a visionary body of eight largely instrumental tracks that hold space, resolve into mystery, that fold in elements of jazz, post-rock and chamber classical music while raiding the folk music toolbox. Call it what you want: post-folk. Trad-noir. Folk nihilism. Then know that Spafford Campbell are blazing a trail that erases genre — and finds gold in the embers. While redolent of Talk Talk’s moody, experimental 1988 opus Spirit of Eden, and riven with a Bon Iver-ish sense of transcendence, Tomorrow Held is a work of bold singularity. A whole greater than the sum of its parts — parts that include effects pedals, ambient cassette loops, flashes of electric guitar, electronic processing on fiddle and impressionistic accompaniment.

Din Of Celestial Birds have quickly become one of the UK's most championed and hard working heavy progressive post-rock bands, known for their vibrant, visually engaging live performances. The Leeds based instrumental quintet have often been praised for their ability to bring a sense of storytelling and heart-on-your-sleeve emotions into their elegantly textured and energetic songs. Soon embracing elements of noise rock, hardcore and industrial to forge a unique and shockingly abrasive sound - Bucket are often referred to as the loudest band in Ireland, a reputation earned by the band’s aim to test the limits of volume and intensity, delivering a punishing live show.
