The Fisherman’s Friends, Cornwall’s legendary sea shanty group and stars of stage and screen, will bring their soaring harmonies and salt-weathered songs to one of Scotland’s most treasured live music venues – Kelvingrove Bandstand – on Saturday 13 June 2026.

Set in the heart of Glasgow’s West End, Kelvingrove Bandstand is 100 years old and considered the jewel in the city’s musical crown. With only 22 concert nights a year and a strictly limited capacity of 2,300, it remains one of the most coveted outdoor stages in the UK. In recent years, its stage has hosted music greats from George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Status Quo and Dexys Midnight Runners to Lulu, The Stranglers and The Levellers, and now The Fisherman’s Friends will add their name to that storied lineage.

Fresh from sold-out tours across the UK and with a debut Australian tour and their own Fisherman’s Friends Festival on the horizon, the multi-million selling shanty group are excited to bring their rousing live show north of the border for a very special night under the Glasgow skyline.

Armed with a repertoire spanning over 200 traditional shanties and maritime songs, The Fisherman’s Friends perform alongside their live band featuring Marcus Bonfanti and Simon Johnson on guitars, mandolin, banjo and more, delivering a show that’s heartfelt, humorous and steeped in the spirit of community singing.

With over 13.5 million Spotify streams, ten albums, two hit feature films, a West End musical, a BBC Folk Award and headline moments from Glastonbury to the Royal Albert Hall, The Fisherman’s Friends have become a global celebration of friendship, folklore and the power of the sea.
